Hi there, I’m Katrina. Let me tell you a bit about myself… I started working in the accounting field when I was about 20 and have been “here” ever since. It turns out my love for maths when I was at school was a bit of an indication as to the career I’d follow! For 15 years I worked in the corporate world before transitioning to running a family business and providing bookkeeping services for small business clients. Working with large corporate businesses I learned a lot about providing regular, meaningful and clear monthly reports for stakeholders. I learned quite quickly that not everyone “sees” numbers the way I do and realised why it’s so important to present financial reports in a way that the reader can understand.
Moving to working in small business, accounting, and bookkeeping firms I learned a lot of what to do, and also what not to do, when it comes to helping smaller businesses understand and manage their finances and managing all their reporting obligations with the ATO and other government bodies.
I now run my own business and pride myself on providing exceptional service to my clients. One of the things I love most about my job is helping make people’s lives easier by taking on the work they just don’t want to be doing. I take away the frustration, annoyance, and confusion that comes with managing finances, making it less scary and more manageable. I’m also passionate about finding the most efficient way to do things and using technology to make things easier for my clients. Who wants to waste time on boring paperwork when we can get it done quickly and move on to other things?
I’ve worked with the other ladies on my team for many years now and we all know each others’ strengths and weaknesses and how to work in the best way together so our clients get the maximum benefit from working with us. I have to say it, Jo is the kindest lady I’ve ever met and I am in awe of how she can juggle all her priorities and gets everything done well before it’s due, and Jess amazes me with her analytical and technical skills.
On a personal note, I’m a complete maths nerd and love playing with numbers. I did a degree in Mathematics when I was a stay-at-home mum (because I never quite lost that mojo from my school days), and I even have a few tattoos of cool math shapes. I got a GPA of 7.0 in this degree and received a university Faculty Medal for being the graduating student with the highest academic achievement, so yep, numbers are my passion! I enjoy going for long walks and listening to audiobooks for some “me” time. I also love watching the native birds in my garden and feeding them and their babies, especially the magpies, butcher birds and noisy minors.
In terms of qualifications, I hold a Bachelor of Business in Accounting, a Master of Commerce, a Bachelor of Mathematical Science, and a Cert IV in Bookkeeping. I’m also a Xero Certified Partner and Spotlight Reporting Certified.

Hi everyone, I’m Jess! Let me introduce myself… During my career I have been an administrative assistant, inventory clerk, grocery warehouse manager, industrial sales assistant, bookkeeper, and payroll officer.
Over the years I have learnt that I love learning new things and exploring how data works and how to make it more meaningful for people to understand. To further these skills I am now a first-year university student studying a combined Bachelor of Business in Data Analytics / Bachelor of Commerce degree. I have a Cert IV in Payroll Administration and a Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
I also have official certifications in Microsoft Excel [specialising in Dashboard, Analysis & Financial Modelling], Word, Microsoft PowerBI, SQL language, and Python. I’m an enthusiast of making data visualisation accurate and easier to read!
